1. Introduction

CAPPI is an iOS application designed to help you confirm medication and supplement intake — so you never have to wonder whether you've taken your treatment.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the CAPPI application (the "App"). We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and handling your data with full transparency.

By using CAPPI, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

CAPPI stores the following information exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is never transmitted to any external server.

CAPPI never requires you to create an account. No name, email address, phone number, or personal identifier is ever collected.

3.2 Anonymous Analytics (Optional)

CAPPI uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how the App is used at an aggregate level. TelemetryDeck was specifically chosen for its commitment to user privacy:

No personally identifiable information is collected.
No IP addresses are stored.
No advertising identifiers (IDFA) are used.
No cookies are used.
All data is aggregated and anonymized before processing.
TelemetryDeck is GDPR-compliant with servers located in the European Union.

3.3 Data We Do Not Collect

CAPPI does not collect any of the following:

Location data (GPS)
Contacts, photos, or files
Apple HealthKit data
Advertising identifier (IDFA)
Biometric data
Browsing history
Data from other applications
Payment information

4. Notifications

CAPPI uses iOS local notifications to remind you to take your medications:

Notifications are entirely local — scheduled and triggered by iOS directly on your device.
No remote server is involved in delivering notifications.
Notification permission is requested during initial setup and can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
A single follow-up notification is sent 30 minutes after the initial reminder if the dose has not been confirmed.

5. Data Storage & Security

5.1 Local Storage

All App data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
No data is synced to any cloud server or third-party service.
Your data benefits from iOS native security protections, including full-disk encryption (Data Protection).

5.2 Archiving, Not Deletion

When you remove a medication in CAPPI, it is archived rather than permanently deleted. Your past intake history is preserved to maintain the integrity of your historical records. Archived medications no longer appear in the active interface.

5.3 Complete Deletion

To permanently delete all your data, uninstall the App. Removing CAPPI from your device erases all locally stored data.

CAPPI does not sell, rent, or share your personal or health data with any third party — for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose.

Zero advertising. CAPPI contains no ads and integrates no advertising networks. No advertising identifiers are used.

7. Your Rights & Controls

7.1 Anonymous Analytics

You can disable anonymous analytics at any time:

CAPPI → Settings → Privacy → Anonymous Analytics

When disabled, no events are sent to TelemetryDeck.

7.2 Notifications

Manage notification permissions from:

iOS Settings → Notifications → CAPPI

7.3 Access, Rectification & Deletion

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable laws, you have the following rights:

Right of access — All your data is accessible directly within the App (history, medications, settings).
Right to rectification — You can modify your medications at any time from Settings.
Right to erasure — Uninstalling the App deletes all local data. Anonymous data previously sent to TelemetryDeck is not identifiable and cannot be individually deleted.
Right to object — You can disable anonymous analytics at any time (see Section 7.1).
Right to data portability — Since all data is stored exclusively on your device with no associated account, no specific portability procedure is required.

8. Children's Privacy

CAPPI carries a 4+ age rating on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. The App does not knowingly collect personal data from any user — all information is stored locally on the device and is never transmitted to external servers.

For users under 18, we recommend that a parent or guardian supervise the use of the App and manage medication entries on the child's behalf.

10. Disclaimer

CAPPI is a dose confirmation tool. The App:

Does not constitute medical advice.
Does not replace consultation with a healthcare professional.
Does not store medical records.
Does not provide treatment recommendations.
Is not a medical device as defined by applicable regulations.

Always consult your physician or pharmacist with any questions regarding your treatment.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through an App update.

The effective date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
